The talks took place after almost a month of US-Israel aggression against Iran, which, according to some analysts, was turning into a religious and civilisational war, where Trump invoked Christian scriptures as a justification for his aggression, while Iran appeared to defend the mosaic of Islamic civilisation and its nearly 4,000 years of history. During this time, President Trump announced victory multiple times and simultaneously threatened to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Age” and eliminate its civilisation — rhetoric full of confusion and contradictions.
