Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team on winning their maiden Ranji Trophy title, terming the achievement a proud and historic moment for the Union Territory.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister lauded the team’s remarkable grit, discipline and passion that led to their first-ever Ranji Trophy victory.

He said the triumph reflects the growing sporting talent and enthusiasm in Jammu and Kashmir and described it as a proud moment for its people. PM Modi expressed hope that the historic feat would inspire young athletes across the region to dream big and actively pursue sports.
