Watch live: Burgum testifies before House on Interior Department budget

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum will testify Wednesday morning before the House Natural Resources Committee on President Trump‘s fiscal 2027 budget request for the department.

The Trump administration is seeking $15.9 billion for the Interior Department. This marks a 12.9 percent decrease from 2026 funding, including cuts to what the president has called “Green New Scam” and duplicative or wasteful programs.
