Oklahoma City’s GOP mayor: ‘Morally and intellectually bankrupt’ party deserved ‘rebuke’

Oklahoma City’s Republican mayor David Holt criticized his own party on Tuesday, saying they deserved the “rebuke” of the American people amid a sweeping victory of the Democrats in the midterm elections.

“A political party that is morally and intellectually bankrupt deserves the rebuke of the American people,” Hold said in a post on social platform X. “It is now time to make America good again.”

Democrats secured control of both the House and the Senate, including Senate wins in battleground states like Texas, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas and Iowa.
