Max Miller says he will ask House Ethics panel to investigate domestic abuse allegations against him
Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) on Tuesday said he will file paperwork to have the House Ethics Committee investigate him as he faces increasing pressure to resign or drop out of his reelection race over allegations of domestic abuse.
“In light of all the renewed interest in my family affairs I am going to file my own paperwork for an ethics investigation into myself to clear my name from these horrific attacks on myself and family. I have absolutely nothing to hide,” Miller wrote on the social platform X.
“We will be providing the committee all necessary documents needed for a detail examination. The accusations continue to change, but my facts stay the same. I am looking forward to my colleagues reading everything for themselves,” Miller added.
Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, has accused Miller of hurling scalding hot water at her, holding a gun to her head and breaking their daughter’s collarbone.
Miller has vehemently and repeatedly denied the allegations, and sued Moreno for defamation in May.
