Kennedy scion Jack Schlossberg loses bid for New York House seat

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, lost his congressional bid on Tuesday for the open congressional seat in the heart of Manhattan to New York State Assemblyman Micah Lasher (D).

Schlossberg finished third in a crowded field of Democratic primary candidates, who were vying to succeed retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), who held the seat for more than 30 years.

Lasher — a former Nadler aide who held top positions under New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg — won with 39 percent of the vote in New York’s 12th Congressional District, according to DDHQ; fellow New York State Assembly member Alex Bores (D) followed with 35 percent of the vote; and Schlossberg followed with nearly 11 percent of the........
