FBI warns of cybercriminals spoofing FIFA websites

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a warning Thursday, stating malicious cyber actors are spoofing FIFA websites ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The threat actors, according to the FBI, create websites that resemble most of the features of the official FIFA site, to trick consumers into interacting with the page.

These websites often use minor misspellings in a link or switching out domains like .com or .org, the agency said, listing dozens of known malicious URL links in the announcement.
