Hamas on Friday confirmed that the group reached a disarmament agreement with negotiators that addresses one of the main sticking points for a broader peace deal in Gaza.
Senior Hamas official Bassem Naim announced on social platform X that the militant group “agreed to the roadmap.”
Naim added that the “ball is now in the enemy’s court,” referring to Israel, after the group begins to fulfill its obligations under the deal and pressed the mediators and guarantors “to compel” the Israeli government to do the same.
