Salmonella fears prompt recall of seasoning sold at Walmart stores nationwide

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal health officials report that a company is recalling a seasoning product sold nationwide at Walmart stores as it may be contaminated with salmonella.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Friday that Blackstone Products, based in Utah, is voluntarily recalling some lots of its “Blackstone Parmesan Ranch” products. The company says the products contain powdered milk that was recalled earlier this year because of possible salmonella contamination, posing a health risk to people who purchased the seasoning.
