Trump jokes his mother had a crush on King Charles

President Trump joked Tuesday that his mother, Mary MacLeod, used to have a crush on young King Charles III.

Trump, during his remarks on the White House’s South Lawn during the arrival ceremony of King Charles and Queen Camila, said his mother “loved the royal family and she loved the Queen.” 

“Any time the Queen was involved in the ceremony or anything, my mother would be glued to the television,” he said. “And should say, ‘Look, Donald, look how beautiful that is.'”

“But I also remember her saying very clearly, ‘Charles, look, young Charles. He’s so cute,'” he said. “My mother had a crush on Charles. Can you believe it? I wonder what she’s thinking right now.”

Trump spoke of his family’s lineage, particularlyy his mother who, was born in Scotland and came to the U.S.........
