Guilfoyle denies allegations as she accepts Trump admin exit

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the embattled U.S. ambassador to Greece, said Tuesday that serving in the role “has been the honor of a lifetime” after the White House announced she had been asked to resign.

White House press secretary Katie Zacharia shared at her inaugural press briefing that the Trump administration asked Guilfoyle to resign after several reports alleging misconduct, including asking a GOP donor to pay off a credit card bill.

“I will forever be grateful to President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for entrusting me with the extraordinary privilege of representing the greatest country in the history of the world,” Guilfoyle said in a statement posted on social media after Zacharia’s press conference.
