Navy crew members eject safely after air show crash
Four crew members safely ejected from their aircraft on Sunday following a mid-air collision at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho during an event commemorating the nation’s 250th birthday.
Two EA-18G Growlers from the Electronic Attack Squadron 129 in Whidbey Island, Washington crashed at the Gunfighter Skies air show, a spokesperson for Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet told The Associated Press.
Crew members aboard the aircraft deployed their parachutes, landing safely on the ground. They were then evaluated by medical personnel and the remainder of the air show was canceled.
