At least three people are dead and another is missing after flash floods engulfed southeastern Tennessee on Tuesday night, authorities said.

The deluge swamped roads and prompted rescue teams into action. One family — two adults and one child — were killed after a tree fell on their car, the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security
