Army veteran dies days after attack outside his Trump-themed house in California

SAN DIEGO (KSWB) – Dozens of people were outside the “Trump house” in Escondido, California, on Monday morning after army veteran and President Trump supporter Kerry Sheron died following an attack outside his home last week, his wife confirmed.

Sheron, 69, was left in critical condition on Wednesday after being beaten outside his Escondido home, which is decorated in pro-Trump flags and signs. A bystander who tried to help was also injured in that attack.

The suspect, Thomas Butler, 32, was found nearby and arrested.

Maria Sheron confirmed to Nexstar’s KSWB that her husband died from his injuries Sunday night.

“I feel a lot of pain in my heart,” she said.
