Will you have an ‘extra’ payday in May? Here’s how to tell

(NEXSTAR) – For some, May will be just another month in the year. For others, it will be a rare three-paycheck month.

Multiple times throughout the year, those who are paid biweekly receive three checks in a month (five, for those paid weekly).

If you are paid every other week, however, you’ll only benefit from a three-paycheck month twice a year.

Whether or not May is a month of “extra” pay depends on when your most recent check came.

Will I get an extra paycheck in May?

If you received three paychecks in January, then no. If you can’t recall, take a look at the last time you were paid. If you were paid on Friday, April 24, the answer is also no.
