Mamdani’s Wife Again Draws Scrutiny for Anti-Israel, Anti-Police Playlists Under Her Name

A Spotify account listed under the name of Rama Duwaji, wife of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, contained curated musical playlists with anti-Israel and anti-police lyrics.

Olivia Reingold at The Free Press first reported on Thursday that Spotify playlists under an account with Duwaji’s name featured “anti-Israel anthems” and were created just after the Oct. 7 terrorist attack.

One playlist was called “hungry but sexy for Palestine,” and contained songs such as “Amrikkka” and “Intifada.” It also includes one called “Ana Bakrah Israel,” which according to The Free Press translates to “I Hate Israel.”

Another song on the playlist was “Rajaoui Filistini,” which has a line, when translated to English, asking for God’s protection “from the darkness of betrayal/oppression, and from the Jews who are greedy for you,” Free Press reported.

The second playlist was called “p2p Palestine 2 Pree—DC protest trip,” and was created for the Jan. 13, 2024, March on Washington for Gaza, according to the report.
