A Year After Charlie Kirk’s Murder, My Campus Celebrated

There is no compromise with the radical left. My name is Shae McInnis, and I lead the College Republicans at Georgetown University. Last week on the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s murder, conservative students held a candlelight prayer vigil. Leftist students celebrated. They took to Georgetown’s anonymous online social media platform, Fizz, and posted hundreds of messages celebrating Kirk’s death, planning a Charlie Kirk lookalike contest, and doxxing conservative students. Dozens of posts wished students a “Happy Kirkaversary” and planned parties to celebrate. One post with over 900 upvotes stated, “I want to get an abortion in honor of the kirkaversary.” Another post joked about Kirk burning in hell, writing “My fucking flesh is literally melting off! There is no salvation to be found in the depths of hell,” while another student posted a photo of Kirk’s head attached to an outdoor sprinkling system with water gushing from his neck.

This is nothing new at Georgetown. Last year, just two weeks after Kirk’s murder, posters were displayed all over Georgetown’s campus by the “John Brown Club” which featured the words “Hey Fascist Catch!,” the same slogan written on the shell casings used in Kirk’s assassination.
