Doctors Pressured Son To Commit Suicide, Family Alleges In Mission To Stop Euthanasia Project

Kiano Vafaeian was not terminally ill. He was determined to die anyway, and did so Dec. 30, 2025, at the age of 26. 

Vafaeian killed himself in British Columbia with the help of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), Canada’s assisted-suicide program. Twelve days before his death, his mother, Margaret Marsilla, called her son.
