The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released over 3 million pages of materials Friday, including videos and images, connected to the investigation into convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The world should have erupted.

For years, people were labeled conspiracy theorists for claiming Epstein was part of a child abuse ring that involved the world’s most powerful leaders, including princes, prime ministers, and tech billionaires. While some of the documents circulating online after the drop only serve to muddy the waters, there is now proof that Epstein and his alleged associates were going after innocent children.

The primary figure emerging is Dr. Jess Ting, a plastic surgeon at Mount Sinai who later specialized in so-called “gender-affirming” surgeries. Ting operated on famous gender confused children like reality TV star Jazz Jennings.

Ting had a multi-year relationship with Epstein lasting from 2010 to 2018, according to the newly released documents. During their friendship, he provided medical consultations and procedures for Epstein’s associates who were often referred to in their email correspondence as “girls,” “friends,” or “assistants.” Also according to the emails, Epstein provided funding to Ting, including $50,000 for research and to support a young woman, Emily Harris, “until she leaves for medical school.”

While most documented interactions predate Ting’s full shift to transgender surgery in the mid-2010s, a 2018 email explicitly references his new focus on “gender-affirmation” surgery, suggesting Epstein’s potential interest. (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)
