DC’s Worst Swamp Creatures See Big Paydays Under Trump 2.0
Washington, D.C.’s lobbying industry is flourishing in President Donald Trump’s second term.
Thirteen of the 20 largest lobbying shops in the Swamp reported 10% revenue growth compared to 2024, according to Politico. During the final year of Joe Biden’s presidency, these firms raked in $595 million in revenue. Under Trump, that number has ballooned to $824 million. Politico noted that several firms with ties to the Trump administration had fantastic years. For example, Ballard Partners, whose alumni include Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, was the top lobbying firm in D.C. in 2025. The firm brought in $88.3 million in lobbying fees, a 350-percent increase from the previous year.
