I have a trick that I usually use when a politician I don’t like is talking: I picture them in full clown make-up.

Is it the most mature thing to do? Not at all.

Does it help keep me from throwing my controller at the telly? Absolutely.

It’s a tactic I deploy a lot when members of right-leaning, or all-out right-wing, parties are speaking.

I just cannot take their rhetoric and blustering that seriously. So, mentally, I add a big red nose and some white pancake and they look how they sound.

However, this week one of them got me completely enraged.

Rupert Lowe’s Dunblane remarks show how vile and odious he is

Rupert Lowe, leader of the Restore Britain party (restore it to what, exactly?) was on the Joe Rogan Experience (don’t get me started on that guy), when he made one of the stupidest and most insensitive comments about the 1996 Dunblane Primary School shootings I’ve heard.

He called it “one murder“.

Lowe by name, low by nature. To take one of the most horrendous gun tragedies in UK history and diminish it like that to further his own causes is vile and shows that he has no integrity or character. Yet he feels that he should one day be prime minister?
