Mayor Sean Ryan’s team is pushing the state Legislature and Gov. Kathy Hochul to pass a bill introduced by Ryan ally state Sen. April Baskin that would allow the city to borrow up to $500 million through the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority, commonly referred to as the control board, over the next five years.

Ryan wants to scrap Scanlon's parking ramps plan

Mayor Sean Ryan hopes to avoid selling the city's parking ramps to a newly formed authority but will need Albany to pass a bill allowing the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority to borrow for operating costs.
