My View: Shopping for mom turned out to be full of unexpected pitfalls
Ever since my elderly mother started having trouble with her sciatic nerve, my siblings and I have been taking turns doing her grocery shopping. Fiercely independent, my mom lives on her own and until recently did her own weekly supermarket run. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to relinquish this task to her adult children, but she had little choice and was grateful for the help.
