Council leader steps down and says he is no longer ‘aligned’ with Labour Party

The Leader of Caerphilly Council has announced that he is to stand down with immediate effect.

Councillor Sean Morgan, who represents the Nelson ward, was elected as the Leader of Council following the May 2022 local government elections.

He’s explained that his moral standing no longer matches that of the Labour Party
