Fried chicken lovers across San Francisco have been wringing their hands for nearly six years in anticipation of the city’s downtown Jollibee.
Last week, the mega-popular fast-food chain’s outpost, a former Payless shoe store at 934 Market St., finally removed the boards covering its sparkling red and white signage. And that’s because the time has come: Jollibee will open its doors next to the Powell BART Station on July 31, a Jollibee spokesperson confirmed to SFGATE Tuesday.
