It hasn’t been the best 24 hours for Warriors fans. Not only did an ESPN report Monday reveal the extent of uncertainty that faces the organization this offseason, but later that evening, the team’s former outcast played an important role in a playoff upset.
Jonathan Kuminga dropped 19 points for the Atlanta Hawks on Monday in a come-from-behind 107-106 victory against the New York Knicks in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. While the Warriors’ former No. 7 draft pick came off the bench, he was a key reason the Hawks were able to close things out, as he was the only guy on his team who played the entire fourth quarter.
