There are few venues in San Francisco as dramatic as the USS Hornet. Docked on Alameda Point and operating as a museum since 1998, the aircraft carrier that first saw combat in 1944 has developed into a unique venue for conventions and live music, such as the Rattleship series of raves, the cosplay-gathering Carrier Con and even “World Goth Day.” However the ship’s future as an event destination is now in jeopardy.
