During a rough start to his 2026 season, San Francisco Giants star Rafael Devers has reportedly been dodging the beat reporters covering the team for the past two weeks.

The first baseman last spoke to the media on April 8, when he hit a homer against the Phillies. According to longtime Giants beat writer Andrew Baggarly at the Athletic, Devers has “consistently avoided beat reporters” who have been requesting to interview him for the last two weeks.
