Future of beloved Bay Area pizza chain uncertain amid eviction fight

Bay Area staple Blondie’s Pizza could soon be down to one restaurant location amid an eviction lawsuit filed by its landlord, Stonestown Galleria.
Attorneys for the San Francisco mall filed an unlawful detainer lawsuit late last month, accusing Blondie’s of owing Stonestown Galleria, which is owned by Brookfield Properties, more than $92,000 in past due rent. According to the lawsuit, the pizza institution stopped making monthly rent payments to Stonetown Galleria in October.
