Two Cents Worth: Sleeping in among joys of retirement

We, as women, need to appreciate and embrace the rewards of old age. Gone are the pressures of daily life with which we are faced since birth.

Being retired, or as I like to say, old and unemployable, has its advantages.

I am not a needy person and do not have a desire to have things. I don’t need nor want a big house or a fancy car; I don’t lament not being able to travel to exotic places. I am comfortable with enough to pay my bills and put food on the table. Each of us has our own idea of what level of comfort is adequate depending on our own wants and needs.

Not that a few extra dollars wouldn’t make my life a bit more pleasant, a tad more secure but I am grateful for friends, decent health, independence and the ability to pretty much do what I want when I want.
