Understanding National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with the library's collection

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the library recognizes the injustices of the residential school system across Canada.

While this day is commemorative of the country’s commitment to acknowledge and rectify the mistakes of the past, the library is committed to promoting the storytelling and oral history of Indigenous voices and experiences. Every Tuesday, the library offers Indigenous Family Story Time. This program is intended for Indigenous families but is welcome to all ages of the public.
