Stratford city council’s lawsuit against the Province of Ontario is a total waste of taxpayers’ money, and illegal too.

The issue of Strong Mayor Powers is a policy decision of the Ontario legislature, which the courts have confirmed is an absolute constitutional power of the legislature. A city council is merely an administrative agency of the province, and can only do what it is told. It has no right to fight policy decisions in court.
