Mattel is replacing its longtime CEO with Condé Nast's Roger Lynch

Lynch, who has served on Mattel's board since 2018, will take over as chairman on Oct. 2 and as CEO no later than Nov. 2

Mattel named Roger Lynch as its next chairman and chief executive officer on Wednesday, ending Ynon Kreiz's eight-year run atop the toymaker. Lynch, who currently serves as chief executive of Condé Nast, will assume the chairman role on Oct. 2 and take over as CEO no later than Nov. 2, the company said.

Kreiz resigned from Mattel's board and as chairman and CEO on September 29, the company said, with the changes taking effect........
