Ford and JPMorganChase launch Michigan manufacturing platform with $3 billion in aspirational commitments

The public-private initiative pairs innovative suppliers with industrial buyers, financing, and state resources to scale domestic production

Ford $F Motor Company, JPMorganChase, the State of Michigan, Michigan Central, and Newlab on Tuesday launched the Michigan Launchpad for Industrial Innovation & Transformation a platform designed to connect manufacturers with innovative suppliers and the capital needed to expand domestic production.

The initiative, known as Michigan LIFT, works by translating manufacturing and supply-chain challenges from industrial buyers into open calls for suppliers to answer.
