Anthropic is closing a funding round that would make it more valuable than OpenAI

The Claude maker's post-money valuation of $965 billion surpasses OpenAI's last known valuation, as annualized revenue crosses $47 billion

Anthropic raised $65 billion in Series H funding at a $965 billion post-money valuation, the company said Thursday, making it the most valuable artificial intelligence startup in the world and surpassing rival OpenAI.

The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, with co-leads including Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN. The raise also includes $15 billion of previously committed investments........
