American Express is raising its full-year profit forecast as card spending climbs

Third-quarter revenue rose 9% to $20.1 billion as billed business climbed 8%, and the card issuer lifted its 2026 EPS range

American Express $AXP raised its full-year profit forecast on Friday after third-quarter revenue rose 9% to $20.1 billion on higher card spending.

The company expects 2026 earnings per share of $18.30 to $18.60, or $17.60 to $17.90 on an adjusted basis. Its prior forecast was $17.30 to $17.90. American Express also said it is on track for 10% revenue growth for the year.

Third-quarter net income was $3.7 billion, compared with $2.9 billion a year........
