Uber is adding hotel bookings to its app through a new Expedia partnership

U.S. users will be able to search and book from more than 700,000 hotels directly in the Uber app, with Vrbo rentals coming later this year

Uber $UBER announced a partnership with Expedia $EXPE Group earlier this week to bring hotel bookings into its app, the latest step in the company's effort to position itself as a single platform for travel, rides, and food delivery.

Unveiled at Uber's annual GO-GET event in New York, the new feature uses Expedia's inventory to show over 700,000 hotel listings for U.S. users. These can be found under a new 'hotels' tab on the app's home screen. Users can filter results by price, guest ratings, hotel........
