Customize your device to meet your needs
Your computer or mobile device was set up to be perfect for a somewhat average person with average sensory abilities and computing experience. Unfortunately, these default settings and preferences may not be what you like or need.
Whether it’s the garish colour scheme, the diminutive size of the text or icons, irritating sound effects, or difficulty typing, your computer, smartphone, or tablet may need some tweaking and adjusting to behave and look the way you want or to compensate for vision, hearing, or cognitive difficulties.
Luckily, you don’t have to search for obscure settings to make adjustments. On a Windows computer, the Accessibility settings are a one-stop location for making significant changes. Click on the Start button and open Settings, or use the key combination of the Windows logo key plus the letter I, and then open Accessibility.
The Accessibility settings are broken down into the categories of Vision, Hearing, and Interaction and each category has plenty of useful adjustments that will let you customize your computer to meet your needs or change........
