Retro merchandise line celebrates Peterborough DBIA 45th anniversary
The Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Association (DBIA) is celebrating its 45th anniversary with the launch of a new line of retro-inspired limited-edition merchandise.
The collection features the original logo introduced when the DBIA was incorporated more than four decades ago. The logo was designed by Pete Scanton in 1981, and has been brought back to life with the help and expertise provided by James Hodgson at Nishtees.
“The result is a fun, vintage-inspired line that celebrates our shared history and the community that continues to make downtown such a special place,” says a DBIA spokesperson.
“Whether you remember the early days firsthand or simply appreciate a good retro esthetic, there’s something here for every downtown fan!”
The merchandise collection includes T-shirts, crewnecks and tote bags. Stickers, keychains and Croc Jibbitz will be arriving soon. Items can be purchased online at theboro.ca/shop or picked up in person at the DBIA office, located in the Venture North Building at 270 George St., second floor, Suite 202A. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at........
