I surprised a friend with a visit to One Fine Food for their birthday, and it proved to be an excellent choice, as she shared that this was her favourite place to go with her partner.

The restaurant at 800 Erskine Ave. had just opened for the day, so we enjoyed a quiet atmosphere. The hostess welcomed us warmly and guided us to a table featuring a marble-toned surface with wooden accents and deep green walls.

Our server, Jake, was attentive and personable, promptly providing menus along with water garnished with lemon and a complimentary serving of freshly-baked bread accompanied by balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The ambience felt elevated.
