Ottawans have a decision to make as work on the first leg of the $60 to $90 billion high-speed rail (HSR) between Toronto and Quebec City is slated to begin in the city in 2029.
The 1,000-kilometre HSR, including a key stop in Ottawa, will stimulate not only significant economic development for Canada, but enhance the capital’s appeal and boost its economic growth. And if we can get a downtown terminal at the old Union Station, the benefits would be phenomenal.
