The Day After 36.0: Two steps forward, one step back as Oilers still can’t win three straight

The Edmonton Oilers may never win three games in a row again.

All season long, its been two steps forward, one step back.

Two wins, and a loss.

The Oilers are just one of four teams in the league this year who haven’t won three straight games, joining the Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken and the St. Louis Blues. Not great company to be in.

They beat the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers in the second and third games of the season, then lost to the New York Islanders. They beat the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens on October 21st and 23rd, then lost to the Seattle Kraken.

They beat the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers in early November, then lose to the Blue Jackets. They beat the Kraken and the Winnipeg Jets, then lost to the Buffalo Sabres.

They beat the Pittsburgh Penguins........
