We’re all implicated in these atrocities

Reno: When America and Israel started bombing Iran, our military bombed an elementary school, killing more than 160 children. At Iran’s supreme leader’s funeral, the parents of the murdered children were made a part of the service. Iran hasn’t forgotten this travesty, nor should they.

An article came out after the recent U.S.-Iran ceasefire deal was announced. A person from the town of Rehovot, Israel, was interviewed and said that the president of the United States had betrayed Israel. I would say to this person: America hasn’t betrayed you. Israel stole the land and homes of the people of Palestine. It has murdered 20,000 or more Palestinian children and then mocks them, openly referring to them as insects, vermin to be exterminated.

I have a question for President Trump: Why did we ever get involved with these murderous thieves? And why Iran? What the people of the U.S. have been a party to can’t be undone. We have taken our military 7,200 miles from our nation’s shores and dropped bombs on an elementary school full of innocent children. Our nation has colluded with a killer of children, and what we’ve done is unconscionable. Now our nation is a killer of children. America, we’ve been betrayed by the very people in our government who we elected and gave permission to act in our name.

Brooklyn: To Voicer Bruce S. Ticker: You’re right. I erred when I characterized Israel’s early leadership as mere right-wingers, but I was only trying to exercise a bit of restraint. I won’t mince words and will call them what they were — outright........
