Caroline Shinkle: Why I’m running for Congress this year
New York’s 12th Congressional District is at a historic crossroads. For decades, our vibrant community has been defined by its enduring position as a global engine of culture, intellect, and commerce. Yet today, many residents feel profoundly concerned over an increasingly unstable economic environment, eroding public safety, rising antisemitism, and unprecedented social and cultural divides.
As Congressman Jerry Nadler retires, our district has the opportunity this Nov. 3 to elect someone with deep expertise in economics and who has emerged as a leading voice against the attempted socialist takeover of New York City. My name is Caroline Shinkle and I am the Republican nominee for Congress in NY-12.
I am a Manhattan Republican, a free enterpriser with extensive professional experience at the highest levels of international central banking and corporate law and a pragmatic approach to solving the many challenges facing our city and the country.
A graduate of MIT in economics........
