Latianna Abosi was caught with ecstasy tablets and 30 sheets of the synthetic drug spice during a security check.

The 24-year-old had been attempting to pass it to Nolan Akuoko who at the time was on remand in connection with an attack in Ipswich where a man was stabbed several times and had an imitation gun pointed at him.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told she had also been caught trying to take a huge quantity of electronic equipment into HMP Norwich on March 20 last year.

The smuggled haul included an Apple MacBook, six iPhones, multiple phone SIM cards, USB devices and cling-wrapped contraband.

Abosi, of Pharoah Close in Mitcham in South London, pleaded guilty to conveying prohibited items into prison and possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs.

She was warned she faced being jailed herself with the offences carrying a starting point of four and a half years.

Magistrates said her case was outside their powers and committed her to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on April 27.

She was given unconditional bail.

Akuoko, of Psalters Lane in Rotherham, was jailed for 10 years at Ipswich Crown Court in November for his part in the attack in a car park during an intended drug deal to buy six kilos of cannabis.

More than £12,000 was found scattered on the ground at the scene.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was stabbed seven times - in the abdomen, back and wrist - and was also slashed across the face.

He told detectives that he knew Akuoko from prison and had received a message to go to meet-up

But when the mood changed Akuoko pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim before it went off – this was later found to be a blank round.
