The long-standing Soul Weekenders, a show hosted by John Leech, has been cut from the schedule and has been replaced by a new all-England programme focusing on the BBC's Make A Difference brand.

The new show will launch on Sunday and air between 2pm and 6pm to promote good new stories.

Posting on social media, Mr Leech said: "I am profoundly grateful to the grace of God, for the opportunity to present this show to you for many years.
