Broadcaster Jake Humphrey has urged locals to fight against the proposed facility due to be built off Ipswich Road, opposite the Harford Bridge Tesco Superstore.

The podcast host says the site could open the floodgates for developers to walk all over the Norfolk countryside.

Mr Humphrey said: "If this goes through without serious challenge, it sends a message that Norfolk’s countryside is available.

"It tells developers that if they describe something as 'critical infrastructure' or 'economic growth', then local landscapes, residents and wildlife will just be pushed aside.

"People rise up by refusing to be passive.

"Do not assume someone else will object. Do not assume the council already knows how strongly people feel. Do not assume this is a done deal. It is not.

"Read the plans. Attend the consultation. Ask hard questions. Write to councillors. Write to MPs. Submit planning objections when the application is........
