Aylsham Garden Centre was left with no electricity and "significant smoke damage" after a blaze at 6.53am on February 16.

An official reopening date has yet to be confirmed, but the business is "hoping to open in the next couple of weeks."

A spokeswoman for the centre said: "Unfortunately, the smoke and soot damage has been substantial.

"We are working with our insurers to get up and running as soon as we can.

"It’s very frustrating for us all.

"Our team has been amazing and we are all supporting each other through this difficult time."

Fire crews from Aylsham and Sprowston spent nearly an hour at the scene after the blaze broke out in the early morning.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The building has been confirmed to be structurally safe, and professional cleaning teams are working to get everything properly restored.

Insurers have said the business could not reopen until it had undergone a professional clean.
