Emergency lane closures remain in place over Easter weekend due to gas leak
Cadent has implemented lane closures in both directions of the roundabout outside County Hall, on Martinuea Lane and Bracondale, for emergency gas repair works.
It comes after a member of the public reported a strong smell of gas in the area on March 26.
After the gas leak, a spokesman for Cadent said engineers would be carrying out the work as safely and as quickly as possible.
The blocked off sections are causing congestion in the area and adding time to drivers' journeys, especially at peak times.
With the closures staying in place for longer than expected, a spokesman for Norfolk County Council said: "If you’re heading to Carrow Road for the match against Portsmouth on Friday, please allow extra travel time or consider using alternative routes or modes of transport if possible.
"Your patience is appreciated while emergency works continue."
