Owners of former post office face backlash over new plans
Owners Rob and Karen Williams are requesting to change the use of the former Barnham Broom Post Office, which closed in September 2024, back into residential use.
However many people living nearby have objected to the plans, submitted to the South Norfolk Council, concerned that it will be a "loss of a vital community asset".
The shop used to sell a range of local and regional produce, as well as groceries and home goods.
One objector said: "This building has been a central part of village life since 1814, serving the area from the same site for more than 200 years.
"Its recent closure marks more than the end of a shop - it represents........
